PLEASE NOTE:

Before scuba diving in Maui, every non-certified diver must complete a PADI MEDICAL QUESTIONNAIRE. This medical form confirms that you are healthy for scuba diving activities. You must be able to accurately answer “No” to each question because any other answer will require a release from your doctor before you can scuba dive. Please take a moment to review this medical questionnaire before making your reservation. No one should go scuba diving with any health conditions that may impede one’s ability to scuba dive safely.

Two-Day Scuba Diving Course in Lahaina

The PADI Open Water Diver course is the most popular scuba diving certification! Beginners can get PADI certified in Lahaina to experience Maui’s unique ocean life. This course certifies you to dive with a buddy, independent of professional supervision, to a maximum depth limit of 60 feet.

Your scuba course is divided into three distinct sections:

  • #1 The first section covers the academics of scuba diving. The PADI Open Water Diver course uses five chapters to explain the physics and physiology of scuba diving and safe diving techniques. If you want to get the most out of your vacation by studying in advance, PADI eLearning offers a way to complete the entire academic portion before you arrive in Maui. We highly recommend this option because it maximizes your Hawaii vacation time. You can purchase PADI eLearning and download it to your favorite devices. Once you complete your final exam, you can email a copy of your PADI eRecord to info@banyantreedivers.com.
  • #2 You get to practice scuba diving skills at the surface and in shallow water during the second section of your PADI Open Water Diver course. These skills teach you to trust your equipment and handle any unlikely emergency without panic.
  • #3 The third section focuses on your four training dives in the ocean. You finally practice using your buoyancy control to hover over the coral reef. Excellent buoyancy control shows you know to respect the marine environment! Your PADI instructor will also teach you the key to every scuba dive: how to plan and execute a successful dive profile safely.

This qualification is internationally recognized and valid for life! You will become part of a new community by earning your scuba diving certification and there’s no better place to learn than here in Maui. The stunning underwater views and marine life surrounding Lahaina and Ka’anapali make it the ideal location to get your license. Join the scuba tribe!
