Banyan Tree Divers wants every guest to understand the requirements and policies that apply to their scuba diving experience before arriving for a scheduled activity.

Reservations & Cancellations
48-Hour Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made at least 48 hours before the scheduled activity are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled activity are not eligible for a refund.
Late Arrivals & No-Shows
Please arrive at your designated meeting location at the time provided with your reservation. Our scuba diving activities operate on a schedule, and late arrivals can affect the experience for other divers in the group.
Guests who arrive late may not be able to participate in the scheduled activity. If you miss your scheduled activity or do not arrive at the designated meeting location, your reservation will be considered a no-show. It will not be eligible for a refund.
If you are running late or having trouble finding your meeting location, please call Banyan Tree Divers at (808) 446-6099 as soon as possible.
Guests are responsible for reviewing their reservation confirmation and arriving at the correct meeting location. Please do not arrive at our business address for your dive unless specifically instructed to do so.
PADI Course Refunds
PADI courses must be paid in full before the course start date. Once a scuba course has begun, refunds cannot be issued if a student does not complete the course requirements.
If illness, injury, or another issue prevents you from completing your course, please get in touch with us to discuss available options. Depending on the circumstances and training completed, your instructor may be able to provide appropriate referral documentation so you can complete qualifying portions of your training at a later date.
Pricing
Prices are subject to change. Once your reservation has been booked and paid in full, the price paid will be honored unless a change to the reservation results in additional charges or add-ons.
Diver Requirements
Swimming Requirements
Participants should be comfortable in the ocean and have the swimming ability appropriate for the scuba diving experience they book.
PADI certification courses have specific swimming requirements that must be completed as part of the course. Please review the requirements for your PADI course before booking.
Proof of Scuba Certification
No scuba certification is required for our Beginner Scuba Diving experience.
Certified divers must provide proof of scuba certification before participating in an activity for certified divers. If you cannot locate your certification card, contact us before your scheduled dive. We may be able to help verify your certification electronically.
Medical Requirements
Scuba diving participants may be required to complete a medical screening or questionnaire before participating. Depending on your answers and the requirements of your activity or course, medical approval from a physician may be required before you can scuba dive.

Dive Sites & Ocean Conditions
Dive Site Selection
Banyan Tree Divers offers shore diving at locations in Ka’anapali, Lahaina, and other areas of West Maui depending on the activity booked.
Dive sites are selected based on factors including ocean and weather conditions, diver experience, training requirements, and the activity scheduled. Because conditions can change, a specific dive site cannot always be guaranteed in advance.
Your instructor may change the planned dive location or dive plan when necessary based on conditions or other factors affecting the activity.
Meeting Locations
Scuba diving activities meet at pre-arranged locations in West Maui. Your specific meeting location and instructions will be provided before your scheduled activity.
Please follow the meeting instructions provided with your reservation rather than arriving at our business address unless specifically instructed to do so.
Weather & Ocean Conditions
Scuba diving activities are dependent on suitable ocean and weather conditions. Conditions can vary by location and may change throughout the day. Banyan Tree Divers may adjust a dive site, schedule, or activity plan as necessary due to conditions.
If Banyan Tree Divers cancels your scuba diving activity because of unsafe weather or ocean conditions, you will receive a full refund or we will help you reschedule your dive for another available date.
