Our team at Banyan Tree Divers Maui works hard to make sure that your Maui scuba diving experience with us is a positive one. We are a small dive shop in Lahaina with customer service and satisfaction at our core, which means you should know what to expect from us before you arrive in Maui.
Our Maui dive shop offers scuba diving lessons, guided shore dives, and PADI certification courses. We are open seven days a week in sunny Lahaina and meet you each morning at our headquarters. You can enjoy two shore dives, explore the pacific coral reef, and finish your day with us by 1 pm.
Full disclosure of all relevant information ensures your scuba dives with us go smoothly. Please know we always try to be as flexible as possible, accommodating your various vacation plans and schedules. However, we appreciate that sometimes things don’t go as planned. With this in mind, let us highlight our company policies to help you achieve the best Maui scuba diving experience.
Our Maui dive shop operates a 48-hour cancellation policy, so you will receive a full refund if you cancel before this. Any cancellations made after 48-hours are not eligible for a refund.
PADI Course Refunds
Scuba diving students learning to dive must pay in full before beginning any PADI course. We cannot issue you a refund if you are unable to complete the course requirements. However, in the event of illness or injury, don’t hesitate to contact us for options to delay or reschedule your reservation. We also provide PADI referral documentation if you are unable to complete a course with us.
We reserve the right to change our prices. However, we guarantee that your quoted price will be locked in and not altered once you have booked and made an initial payment.
There are no swimming requirements for Discover Scuba Dive experiences. However, swimming proficiency assessments are compulsory for all students beginning a PADI Scuba Diver, Open Water Referral Dives, or Open Water Diver course. Participants need to complete a 10-minute float, plus either a 200-meter swim or a 300-meter snorkel. The swim and snorkel tests have no time limitations.
Proof of Certification
For certified divers who want to explore Maui’s dive sites with us, the onus is on you to provide proof of your current diving certification. Our staff needs to check your certification card and logbook before taking you diving, so if you have lost or misplaced them, please contact us in advance to see if we can help.
Maui Dive Site Requests
Scuba diving near Lahaina, Kaanapali, and Kapalua makes for a perfect day of shore diving. These famous beaches provide many opportunities to explore Maui underwater, so we try to be as flexible as possible to accommodate specific dive site requests. However, we ultimately decide on each dive site according to current and forecasted ocean conditions. As a result, most of the time, the dive site for any given day does not get confirmed until the prior evening.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read our company policies. We look forward to scuba diving in Maui with you!
