Popular Maui Scuba Certification Course
This popular scuba certification course is for non-certified divers who have already completed all of their dive theory and confined water skills. There are two ways you can fulfill the academic portion of the PADI Open Water Referral Dives course. First, get an Open Water manual to learn with a PADI instructor or second, go online for PADI e-Learning.
Please note, before starting this course we require submission of your PADI referral documentation. Get the form signed by your previous instructor and email it to us. If you have not completed the academic and confined water training sessions, but want to get your scuba certification on Maui with us, then check out our PADI Open Water Diver page.
The PADI Referral course is four open water dives. At the end of your course, you can dive with a buddy, independently of a professional, to a maximum depth of 60 feet. You’ll make two dives each day at some of the best Maui diving sites, and record details of each training dive in your new logbook. Maui offers excellent scuba diving conditions to earn your PADI certification. Shore diving in Lahaina allows for easy entry into the ocean and magnificent marine life, including fields of coral reefs, schools of fish, and turtle cleaning stations.
Your PADI Open Water Diver certification is internationally recognized and valid for life. The next step in scuba certification is the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course.
What to Expect for your PADI Open Water Referral Dives
Mornings are the best time for clear visibility underwater, so we begin our PADI Open Water Referral Dives course at 9 am. Each day you will review the PADI Open Water theory and go for two scuba dives. You should finish at 3 pm on both days.
To guarantee you the best Maui scuba diving experience, we observe conditions and choose the dive site the day before you begin. So, the day before you start, look for an updated email before 4 pm with GPS directions to the dive site.
Our Maui dive company setup offers you maximum convenience. We simply meet you with our scuba van at the beach, gear up, walk into the ocean. We’ll agree on the sites for the second day with you in person after your first two dives, so you know where to meet us.
