Maui has some of the most beautiful reefs and areas for scuba diving in the world. Whether you are a beginner or a more accomplished diver, you may want to get scuba certification on Maui. A Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) offers a variety of different diving certifications that are available to a range of different diver qualifications. If you want to start diving and intend to dive with an instructor you may want to consider a PADI certification.
Getting a Scuba Certification on Maui
It is easy to get a basic PADI scuba certification on Maui. You can become a certified diver in just 1 to 2 days. You must get experience on 2 scuba dives and must be at least 10 years of age. Classes are available in small groups and with flexible scheduling. Shore diving from the beach makes it easy for water entry and exit. We supply all of the equipment you need and have highly experienced instructors.
If you are already certified, you may want to upgrade your certification. You can get the lessons and dives you need to qualify while you are here on vacation. You may opt for small group or private lessons. Dives take place in some of the most beautiful areas on the world here on Maui. Our beach dives are ideal for beginners and more advanced divers because of the shallow entry and gradual drop off. Some of the reefs are located starting in just 8 feet of water.
If you already have your initial certification you can upgrade to an Open Water diver with group or private scuba lessons. You can become a PADI open water certified diver with 4 scuba dives. If you want, you may upgrade to an Advanced PADI diver certification. An Advanced diver must have 5 different PADI adventure dives and be at least 12 years old.
The next level of PADI diving certification is Rescue Diver. A rescue diver must have a valid emergency first responder (EFR) diving certificate that was obtained within the last 24 months. You must already have Advanced certification to complete this course. You will learn how to manage emergency situations and assist with rescues.
