One-Day Scuba Certification in Lahaina, Hawaii

Learning to scuba dive in Lahaina is often regarded as one of the best activities in Maui. However, becoming scuba certified can require at least two days of diving. So if you’re short on vacation time, consider the one-day PADI Scuba Diver course!

As a new PADI Scuba Diver, the certification requires that you always scuba dive under the direct supervision of a PADI Instructor (or Assistant Instructor). You can dive with your professional buddy to a maximum depth of 40 feet. The next course is the multi-day PADI Open Water Diver course. All PADI certifications are recognized globally and valid for your lifetime.

PADI Scuba Diver consists of three sections:

  • The first section focuses on learning PADI academics. Before beginning your course with us in Lahaina, complete PADI Open Water Diver chapters 1 – 3. In addition, you need to take a quiz for each chapter.
  • The second section covers practicing skills in confined water. Scuba diving in Maui allows you to practice scuba techniques in a warm, calm ocean environment. Working with your professional instructor can quickly improve your confidence as a new scuba diver.
  • The third section includes your two training dives, during which you will explore Maui underwater and practice your scuba diving skills.

What to Expect for Your Scuba Course

You will begin by reviewing dive theory and taking quizzes for the PADI Scuba Diver certification with your expert instructor. Your pre-rented equipment will be prepared and ready for you upon arrival. Afterward, you will complete two dives, finishing by 3 PM. Please let us know if you do not have a rental car.

You can typically complete this course in one day; however, if you need to certify over two days, please get in touch with us to arrange an alternative schedule.

The PADI Scuba Diver Course does not require any previous diving experience. Choose your diving date and book now to prepare for an exciting scuba diving adventure in Maui.
