What to Expect Diving in Lahaina

Your scuba diving experience begins with a safety briefing at the Mala Wharf dive site in Lahaina. All rental scuba diving equipment is included and will be ready for you upon arrival. You will have the opportunity to choose your mask, wetsuit, dive boots, and fins.

Next, you will get acquainted with your scuba instructor, complete some paperwork, and participate in a dive briefing. Afterward, you’ll dive into the warm Hawaiian waters to explore a vibrant ecosystem filled with marine life at one of our favorite spots, Mala Wharf. Here, you’ll encounter a colorful coral reef, White-Tip Reef Sharks, endemic tropical fish, Hawaiian Green Turtles, moray eels, and octopuses.

You can book two scuba dives during your trip. If you wish to include a second dive, select this option on the reservation form at checkout. Please remember that all scuba divers must not ascend or drive to an altitude above 1,000 feet for at least 18 hours after completing two scuba dives. Altitude is vital because Maui has many roads, such as Makawao and Kula, that exceed 1,000 feet in elevation. Plan your vacation accordingly if you intend to fly from Maui, drive up Haleakalā, or participate in zip-lining after scuba diving.
