When you dive in Kaanapali, you’ll have easy beach entries to the ocean. You can find most marine life at depths of 50 feet or shallower, where you might encounter Hawaiian turtles swimming along the coral reef. During the summer months of July and August in Kaanapali, you may even dive alongside a resident pod of Spinner dolphins! If you dive in the winter months of January, February, and March, you can listen to male Humpback whales singing.

Please note that this guided shore dive in Maui is exclusively for certified divers. However, we offer scuba diving lessons for non-certified divers daily. Additionally, if any divers in your group would like to begin with a Scuba Review Dive, you can opt for a comprehensive refresher dive upgrade for $159 per person!

What to Expect for Your Guided Dive

For each scuba tour in Kaanapali, you can book a two-dive package. The second dive allows you to explore the dive site more thoroughly or visit a new location in Lahaina. You can book your second tank during checkout.

Your professional instructor selects the dive site each day. When ocean conditions are great, we often choose a dive site called Airport Beach. You’ll meet your instructor in the parking lot, conduct a detailed safety briefing, and choose your rental scuba gear, including your dive boots, fins, and mask. All rental equipment will be ready for you upon arrival! Each tour takes about two hours, so when you begin at 8.30 AM, you can expect to complete two scuba dives by 12:30 PM.
