The Introductory Scuba Dive Maui is the best option for beginner divers. Take your first breaths underwater with Banyan Tree Divers Scuba. Every new diver begins this journey with an Instroductory Scuba Dive, which requires no previous experience. Maui has excellent dive conditions, so there is no better place to have your first underwater experience!
The Introductory Scuba Dive gives every beginner diver an opportunity to enjoy Maui's magical underwater world. As a new diver you will learn under the guidance of a professional PADI instructor from Banyan Tree Divers Scuba. Guests can expect small group sizes and patient teaching. Private scuba lessons are also available for an introductory scuba dive.
The beaches of Lahaina, Kaanapali and Kapalua offer great dive conditions year-round, so you will be in for a treat no matter when you visit Maui. Get excited to kick your scuba fins through the water and over the coral reef, as we search for Turtles, Moray Eels, and an array of different tropical fish. The Introductory Scuba Dive Maui for beginners does not qualify as a certification, however it may be credited towards earning your PADI Open Water Diver certification.
Mornings are the best time for good visibility underwater, so most dives meet at 9am. The exact dive site is chosen the afternoon before our diving day and emailed to all guests. We start with a briefing about the basics of scuba diving. After practicing a few skills in shallow water to get comfortable, we continue on for a 30 - 40 minute dive.
We like to offer 2 dives per trip, which provides the opportunity to explore the entirety of a large dive site or visit a different site. A second dive also allows you to build on what you learned during the first dive, so your confidence will increase. Each additional tank costs just $79. When making 2 dives, we finish up around lunch time.
Quality underwater photos and videos will be available for an additional fee.
