Maui Scuba Diving for Certified Divers

The best Maui diving for certified divers is from the shore. So join Banyan Tree Divers to explore new Maui dive sites in Lahaina, Kaanapali, and Kapalua. We guarantee you small group sizes led by experienced dive guides. If you are an experienced diver looking for sharks and turtles, you will want to visit the stunning human-made formations of Mala Wharf in Lahaina. Mala Wharf is most often our 2nd dive of the morning.

Please note this Guided Dive is only for certified divers, but Maui diving for beginners is also available. Look for introductory scuba diving lessons and PADI certifications.

Maui is one of the best dive destinations in the United States because it has accessible coral reefs and exquisite lava formations. Maui diving is easy because you can enter from the beach, and most of the marine life resides at depths of 50 feet or shallower. Divers often see Hawaiian turtles cruising the reef, and sometimes get to encounter spotted eagle rays or a pod of passing spinner dolphins at Kahekili Reef in Kaanapali. During January, February, and March, divers even get to hear male Humpback whales singing.

Maui scuba diving in Lahaina has something to entice and inspire every kind of certified diver, while year-round perfect dive conditions help to create memorable underwater memories. So we make dive photos and videos available on all of our Maui dives.

Maui Diving Logistics

Mornings are the best time for excellent visibility underwater, so for most dives, we meet at 9 am. We guarantee you the best Maui diving experience by choosing the dive site the day before and emailing details to you. Look for an updated email before 4 pm with GPS directions to the dive site

Our Maui dive company set up offers you maximum convenience. We simply meet you with our scuba van at the beach, gear up, and walk into the ocean. We like to offer two dives. A second dive allows us to explore the entirety of a large dive site or visit a different Maui diving site. Each additional tank costs just $79. When making two dives, we finish up the diving day around lunchtime.

High-quality underwater photos and videos are available to purchase at a surcharge through our dive shop. Maui scuba diving photo packages are a trendy add-on, so please let us know in advance if you would like to take advantage of this service. The cost is $60, and camera rentals are also available.
