Maui Rescue Diver Certification

The PADI Rescue Diver certification is a rewarding and a crucial step forward in scuba diving. Maui Rescue courses with Banyan Tree Divers build confidence in your diving skills and help you become more prepared for any unexpected diving emergencies while bringing you closer to achieving professional status.

By completing the PADI Rescue Diver certification you learn how to manage different scuba emergencies through a combination of dive theory, training exercises, and rescue scenarios. Dive theory is comprised of two academic sessions, coupled with independent study. We advise all of our divers to complete the Knowledge Review Questions beforehand.

The 10 in-water training exercises are practiced on the surface and underwater. We like to practice these training exercises repeatedly until our divers feel relaxed and confident with every skill. Ultimately, each of the 10 exercises is evaluated during two comprehensive rescue scenarios. Banyan Tree Divers’ assistants help to create realistic emergency events during your rescue scenarios, making your experience true to life and memorable, and scuba diving Lahaina provides the perfect setting to practice shore entries and exits.

PADI Rescue Diver Course Logistics

We operate as a mobile Maui dive shop and choose the exact dive site the day before your course begins. We send you the details and GPS coordinates via email. This way we can ensure we use the best Maui diving sites for your training based on conditions. The usual meeting time is 9am, and you can expect to finish each day at around 4pm.

Our Maui dive company aims to provide both convenience and professionalism. So we simply meet you at the beach of our chosen dive site, gear up, and walk into the ocean. We’ll agree on the sites for the second day with you in person after your first two dives so you know where to meet us.

Our previous PADI Rescue Diver students tell us that the course is their favorite they’ve taken. It is challenging, but very rewarding, and you’ll notice an immediate improvement in your dive skills and general awareness underwater.

Book now, or contact us today to arrange your course, and take your diving to the next level! Our instructors have years of experience in teaching rescue and pro-level courses, so there’s no one better to train with!
