Maui Scuba Diving to Complete your Certification
This referral course is for new divers who have already completed their academic theory and confined water skills. Academic theory may be completed with an instructor or online using PADI’s e-Learning. Please note we require your PADI referral documentation, which must be signed by your previous instructor. If you have not yet completed both academic and confined water training, and want to learn to dive on Maui with us, then check out our PADI Open Water Diver page.
The referral course is comprised of four open water dives designed to allow you to dive independently with a buddy to a maximum depth of 60ft. You’ll make two dives each day at some of Maui’s best diving sites, and record details of each dive in your new logbook. Maui offers great dive conditions to earn your PADI certification. Shore diving in Lahaina allows for easy entry into the ocean and excellent marine life including fields of coral reefs, schools of fish and turtle cleaning stations.
Your PADI Open Water Diver certification is internationally recognized and valid for life. The next step in scuba certification is the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course.
Maui Diving Logistics For PADI Referral Courses
Mornings are the best time for good visibility underwater, so we begin our PADI Open Water Diver referral courses at 9am. You will review the PADI Open Water academic theory and make two dives each day, so your course will finish around 3-4pm on both days.
In order to guarantee you the best Maui diving experience, the exact dive site is chosen the day before and emailed to you the day before you begin. Look for an updated email before 4 pm with GPS directions to the dive site.
Our Maui dive company is set up to offer you maximum convenience. We simply meet you with our scuba van at the beach, gear up, walk into the ocean. We’ll agree on the sites for the second day with you in person after your first two dives so you know where to meet us.
