Advanced Scuba Diving on Maui

For most of us, scuba diving Maui becomes an addiction. So after completing the PADI Open Water Diver certification, many divers choose to explore further. The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification not only makes you more confident underwater, it also introduces you to a variety of new specialty diving areas, such as Deep, Navigation, Photography, Wreck, Peak Performance Buoyancy, and a long list of additional electives.

Advanced scuba diving Maui style includes five Adventure Dives over two to three days. Your Deep and Navigation dives are compulsory, leaving you a choice of three elective dives to complete. By earning the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification your new maximum depth will be 100 feet. This increased depth rating allows us to take you to some of the best Maui dive sites for your training!

Advanced Divers may use any completed Adventure Dives as credit towards a full PADI Specialty certification. Contact us for additional details regarding PADI Specialty courses. By continuing to build upon your experiences, you may ultimately achieve the most notable recreational diving certification: PADI Master Scuba Diver.

PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course Logistics

We like to meet in the morning at the dive site location, which is chosen the day before based on conditions to provide you with the best Maui diving experience. We’ll email you with all of the information, but most often our meeting time is 9am in order to take advantage of the best underwater visibility. We like to make two dives per day, so most often you’ll finish up at around 3-4pm.

Our mobile Maui dive shop is set up to offer you maximum convenience. We simply meet you with our scuba van at the beach, gear up, and walk into the ocean. The Banyan Tree Divers big white cargo van is easy to spot, so you can’t miss us!
