Two-Day Scuba Diving Course in Lahaina

The PADI Open Water Diver course is the world’s most popular scuba diving certification! Beginners can get scuba certified in Lahaina to start this journey and experience Maui’s unique ocean life. Your scuba course gets divided into three distinct sections:

#1 The first section covers scuba diving academics. The PADI Open Water Diver course uses five chapters to explain the physics and physiology of scuba diving and safe diving techniques. If you want to get the most out of your vacation by studying in advance, PADI eLearning offers a way to complete the entire academic portion before you arrive in Maui. We highly recommend this option because it maximizes your vacation time. You can purchase PADI eLearning during checkout and download it to all of your favorite devices. Once you complete your final exam, you can email a copy of your PADI eRecord to [email protected].

#2 You get to practice scuba diving skills at the surface and in shallow water during the second section of your PADI Open Water Diver course. These skills teach you to trust your equipment and handle any unlikely emergency without panic.

#3 The third section focuses on your four training dives in the ocean. You finally get to practice using buoyancy control, so you can learn to hover over the coral reef. Excellent buoyancy control shows you know to respect the marine environment! Your PADI instructor will also teach you the key to every scuba dive: how to safely plan and execute a successful dive profile.

What to Expect During Your Scuba Course

Your scuba course begins at our headquarters in Lahaina at 8:30 am, where you can find your pre-rented equipment ready to go. After meeting your instructor and listening to a briefing about the dives, you will drive your rental car to the dive site your instructor selects. You get to make two dives per day, so each day finishes at 3 to 4 pm. Would you please let us know if you do not have a rental car?

Our dive service offers maximum convenience during your Maui vacation. You can work directly with your expert instructor to outline the best course for your vacation schedule. The location for the second day of your PADI course gets arranged in person after day one.
