Become a Professional Scuba Diver in Maui

Earning your PADI Divemaster rating opens the door to a whole new lifestyle and welcomes you into professional diving status! The PADI Divemaster internship allows you to develop leadership skills by learning specialized techniques to supervise dive activities, assist with training divers, and create quality dive experiences. You also get the opportunity to assist our dive service in conservation efforts within Maui’s dive community. While your training focuses on Maui scuba diving techniques, this course equips you with transferable skills to live and work as a dive professional anywhere in the world!

The program consists of three main modules: knowledge development sessions, water skills exercises, and practical assessment training. Your expert instructor mentors know how to guide your progress throughout the course as you learn to supervise divers and develop risk management skills while building on your diving skillset. You work closely with your mentor to sharpen your knowledge of five distinct dive theory topics: physics, physiology, skills and environment, equipment, and decompression theory.

PADI Divemaster training culminates in a profound understanding of what it means to be a real dive leader and role model for other divers. To reach this level of confidence, you’ll take part in various training exercises and workshops to fine-tune your skill demonstrations and practical applications of the theory sections. Additionally, you get to refine your emergency skills by revisiting the rescue exercises and scenarios.
