Our team at Banyan Tree Divers works hard to make sure that your experience with us is a positive one, and we try to be as flexible as possible to accommodate your holiday plans and schedules. However, we appreciate that sometimes, things just don’t go to plan. With this in mind, there are some policies we’d like to make you aware of so that you can relax and enjoy the best Maui diving experience possible while you are with us. We are a small Maui dive company and have customer service and satisfaction at our core, so we believe in full disclosure of all relevant information prior to booking and arrival so that your dives with us go smoothly and you know what to expect from us.
Cancellation Policy for all Maui Scuba Diving Trips
Our Maui dive shop operates a 48hour cancellation policy, so if you need to cancel prior to this, you will receive a full refund. Cancellations within 48hours are not eligible for a refund.
Maui Diving Courses – Incompletion
For those learning to dive on Maui with us, please note that any purchased dive course with Banyan Tree Divers must be paid in full. Refunds cannot be issued if a student is unable to complete the course, however, we do offer delayed course options and can reschedule and amend bookings in the event of illness/injury, etc. We can also provide PADI referral documentation where applicable if you are unable to complete the course with us in the time you have available.
We reserve the right to change our prices. However, we guarantee that once you have booked and made an initial payment, your quoted price is locked in and will not be altered.
There are no official swimming requirements for introductory Maui diving experiences, however, for students on PADI Scuba Diver and PADI Open Water courses, swimming proficiency assessments are required. Participants need to be able to complete a 10 minute float, plus either a 200m swim or 300m snorkel. There are no time limitations on the swim or snorkel.
For certified divers who want to explore Maui dive sites with us on a fun dive trip, the onus is on you to provide proof of your current diving certification level. Our staff will need to check your certification and logbook prior to taking you diving, so if you have lost or misplaced it, do contact us in advance so we can see if we can help.
Scuba diving in Lahaina, Kaanapali, and Kapalua beaches provide many opportunities to explore the amazing Maui underwater world. We try to be as flexible as possible to accommodate specific dive site requests, however ultimately dive site choices are conditions dependent, so most of the time the exact dive site for any given day is not confirmed until the evening before.
We thank you for your understanding and consideration in taking the time to read over our policies and we look forward to having you dive with us.
